Our family has always known we were ancestors of Doublehead, as well as "Princess Cornblossom" My mother was born a Maxwell, and after my uncle had his dna tested, he began collecting records, but only follows male lines and the Maxwell name.I believe women are equal. My great grandmother was Ursley Denney Maxwell, her mother was Matilda Mathis Denney, her mother was Elizabeth "Betsy" Vaughn, her mother was Elizabeth "Betty" Troxell, and her mother was Pawalin "Princess Cornblossom" Doublehead Troxell. My 5th great grandmother.<br />If I check my uncle's (which is my maternal line) dna matches, there are 169 from Elizabeth "Betty" Troxell. Our family roots are in Wayne and Pulaski County Kentucky. Today would have been my mother's 73rd birthday, the first one since her passing in January 2020. I will honor her today, along with all of the women in our family. We are all a part of something greater than ourselves.
